Oil refineries and chemical plants are responsible for supplying various energy fuels and basic raw materials to other industries. Therefore, their stable operations are critical for everyday life and industry supply chains. Naturally, high reliability and durability are demanded of the equipment installed at these sites. Based on these requirements, compressor systems and cooling systems using MYCOM compressor, which are compliant with international standards such as API have been positively recognized at various sites around the globe for supporting safe operation.

Promoting sustainability through environmental conservation and effective resource recovery

With sustainability in mind, oil and gas production sites as well as chemical plants are promoting the recovery and reuse of exhaust gas that has been incinerated in flare stacks in order to curtail CO₂ emissions. Additionally, volatile organic compounds (VOC) occurring in crude oil storage tanks and oil carrier are odorous and contain harmful substances such as benzene, so reducing their emission into the atmosphere is critical.

These gases are mixed gases of varying compositions that include condensates (including highly corrosive hydrogen sulfide contained in associated gas) and are thus difficult to compress. However, with Mayekawa's unique compressing and lube oil systems, stable operations can be relied upon. Contributing to environmental conservation and effective resource recovery, MYCOM compressors are used at sites around the world as recovery compressors and as refrigeration compressors for gas processing.

Adaptable for use in various applications

The oil/gas and chemical industries play a primary role in supplying many industries with basic materials energy and industrial products. Durability, reliability, and capability are demanded by manufacturing facilities.

Mayekawa's compression technology makes it possible to compress a variety of process gases that contain condensates as well as corrosive, reactive, and powder components, etc., something that has conventionally been difficult to do. Additionally, our compressor technology is suitable not only for general purpose applications such as glycol chillers but for special cooling systems as well, including direct expansion and liquefaction and cooling systems for energy-saving processes, boil-off gas (BOG) reliquefaction systems for liquified gas, and cooling systems requiring temperatures of -100℃.

Based on our high-level technical capabilities, we can individually design and manufacture systems for various applications, and our design flexibly helps us offer proposals in line with client needs, from improving process reliability and safety to reducing overall operating costs.

In consideration of global warming, we are promoting the adoption of natural refrigerants, including CO₂, and hydrocarbons such as ammonia and propane. When prioritizing an ease-of-procurement and plant maintenance perspective, it is also possible to use gases such as mixed hydrocarbons generated in the plant and LPG that is used for fuel.
